Virtual Football Rules

Virtual Football League (VFL) is a virtual competition consisting of computer-generated matches. The teams’ performances are influenced by the current state of the players and their confidence based on the team’s position in the tournament table and the history of their relationships with other clubs. All information is mostly based on real world football data and partially depends on random actions produced by the random numbers generator.

16 teams take part in the VFL. All of the teams’ matches are held in the form of tournaments (matchdays), each of which consists of 8 matches. The tournaments are held consequently, 24 hours a day. The next season starts after the end of the successive season, which includes 30 tournaments and lasts for 141 minutes in real time.

Each tournament lasts 4 minutes 35 seconds and is divided into several stages:

  • before the match;
  • first half;
  • half-time;
