The club was founded in 1895 as Thames Ironworks but reformed in 1900 as West Ham United. The iconic claret and blue kit has been a recognisable fixture since the team’s early days and has seen a trio of FA Cup successes.
The Irons also won the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1965 and were runners-up 11 years later in 1976.
Three West Ham players were members of England’s 1966 World Cup winning team.
